HORSE RACING ADVICE FROM FULL TIME PROFESSIONAL GAMBLERS

The service is now run on a performance related format. You pay a fee until the profit target is reached. Stakes are advised between £50 and £150 (stakes will average around £75) from a £10,000 recommended betting bank. When the profit target has been met or exceeded then the 'cycle' is finished and you will need to pay for another cycle if you wish to continue. Most cycles have a £3000 target, sometimes we have different target amounts and the fee is adjusted pro rata. There will be a £300 (10% of the target) maximum free 'buffer' tagged onto the £3000 target, anything over that will get carried forward into the next cycle. For eg. If the profit currently stands at £2700 & the next horse wins at 8/1 for £100 advised stake then the new total is £3,500, £200 gets carried forward into the next cycle. If however a winning bet took the cycle to £3,150 the cycle would finish and the next cycle would start at zero.

There are now two separate performance groups that run alongside each other. Group 1 will receive bets in high class races, so mainly festivals and weekends. Group 2 will receive all bets including the bets sent to group 1. Bets are sent from 8.30am (we like to wait until 9am when possible) until 12.30pm. On occasions there will be a later afternoon message but I will try to keep these to a minimum. There are some exceptions to these timeframes - During festivals and on Saturdays, some bets can be sent from 8am and in rarer cases, the evening before but I try to keep these to a minimum - we will of course require a near full set of bookmakers prices to be available. You can be a member of only one group. It is estimated that a minimum of one group 1 cycle will be completed each year on average and a minimum of two cycles for group 2 on average. If you join at the start of a new cycle when there is a carried forward amount then your subscription fee will be adjusted pro rata - you will not lose out.

There is now a new 'Test the water' cycle which is designed as a stepping stone and a 'taster' before committing to one of our £3000 Group 1 or Group 2 regular cycles. It is slightly cheaper pro rata than a regular cycle and it is for new customers only. Only one 'test the water' cycle per new customer and therefore not renewable upon completion. Maximum 10 people per cycle. The Majority of bets in these cycles are identical to bets given out in either Group 1 or Group 2. Most bets will be sent in the stronger markets to avoid premature bookmaker price cuts, therefore, festivals and classier races is where the main focus will be. Bets can be sent from 8.30am until 11.00am on a daily basis. There might be about 2 to 6 bets per week and on average a cycle will take around 45 bets to complete. People completing a 'test the water' cycle will have priority over any places becoming available in the regular cycles.

ISN'T IT ABOUT TIME YOU PUT YOUR BETTING ON A MORE PROFESSIONAL LEVEL?

Whats our 'key' to consistent profits? The answer really is very simple, VALUE. You can only win at this game in the long term if your horses odds are greater than their true chance of winning. We wouldn't take 10/11 about the toss of a coin being heads, the same as we wouldn't take 7/1 about a horse we feel has a 10% chance of winning (9/1). Finding value isn't easy mind you, it takes a lot of hard work.

If we are interested in a particular horse in a race, in most cases we would have to come up with a price of every single runner in that race and make our 'book' to 100% (ie no over-round or bookmakers profit built in).

Lets say that we calculate the true chances of our horse winning at 20% (4/1). Now we need to add on our profit margin of at least 25% to ensure that we are getting value, using 25% allows us some scope for error - this brings the minimum price we require to 5/1, if we can get 5/1 or better then it's a bet, if not, we'll leave it well alone and wait for the next opportunity.

Below are a few Q & A’s that might be helpful to you. If you have any other questions, pop it in an email and we'll get straight back to you.

WHAT TIME CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE BETS?

Bet timings are give near the top of the page in the second paragraph. There is at least a 2 minute 'heads - up' email before all bets. Sometimes bets are advised the evening before on festival days or earlybird races - there is always plenty of warning.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU HAVE IN EACH GROUP?

There are a maximum of 30 clients in Group 2 (all bets) and 15 in Group 1 (high class races).

HOW DO I RECEIVE THE BETS?

Bets are recorded at generally available bookmakers prices and not standout prices with smaller bookmakers. It is important that at the end of the cycle, the majority of clients end up with similar profits to the official spreadsheet.

Open as many accounts as you can. You should at least have accounts with the 'big 3' and most of the others on www.oddschecker.co.uk

I DON'T LIVE IN THE U.K. – CAN I STILL BECOME A MEMBER?

Certainly, Equine Investments have members all over the World.

WHEN I AM ON HOLIDAY I WON'T BE ABLE TO PLACE BETS - WILL I LOSE OUT?

Fortunately we have this covered! Members can take two free holidays per year for any length of time. Upon return we calculate the profit/loss while you were away and then adjust who owes who what. Eg. If while you were away we won £500 (1/6th of the £3000 target) then we would give you credit of £137.50 (£825/6) which you can use against your next cycle. If we lost £500 then you would owe £137.50. You will not lose out while you are on holiday.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE HIT A LOSING RUN?

Don't panic ! losing runs are part and parcel of gambling and happen to everyone. You just need to learn to deal with them by not chasing your losses and becoming impatient. Because of the performance related format a losing run doesn't cost you, we always end up at the same target, it just takes longer.
